Wheels4Life in Uganda

UGANDA, IGANGA TOWN, FOUNDATION RURAL — A Wheels 4 Life donation was approved in October 2007 for the amount of $2400 and 30 bicycles were purchased on our behalf. These bikes will be used for children to commute to school and for the community to gather crops and transport water.

CIDAR-Uganda is a not-for-profit national membership CBO working with, and through, poor, marginalized and vulnerable communities for sustainable development. They believe that bicycles/bikes would make a significant improvement in the lives of the poor households and communities where we work especially in the eastern part of Uganda (Jinja, Kamuli, Mayuge, and Kaliro Districts). W4L approved their application and this project in Mar.’08 and made funds available for 20 bicycles.
