Ormoc City

Wheels4Life has delivered 51 bicycles to the Philippines as part of a series of ongoing projects in the country. The first set of bikes were delivered by Hans himself and give to local children who needed a way to get to high school, which was more than nine miles away.

With the help of the Larrazabal family from Ormoc City (Philippines) and the local council man of the Lake Danau Barangay (settlement), we were able to identify 3 boys who graduated elementary school and had no means to get to the high school that is 9 + miles away.

Hans also presented 12 bikes to Bishop Cantillas from the Southern Leyte Province, the area, where they recently had the devastating mudslide that buried over 1000 villagers alive. The bikes will be given to some of the orphans and other people in need in Southern Leyte.

Mark Redilla, age 14, and his family live in the hut in the background, thanks to W4L he now has a way to get to school, near Ormoc City (Philippines).
