Fox Racing Shox and their German distributor Toxoholics raffled off a Fox Talas 32 fork at Eurobike tradeshow in Friedrichshafen, Germany; to raise money for Wheels 4 Life. Over 4 days they sold 660 raffle tickets at 1 Euro per ticket. Subsequently we raised Euro 660.- and created a lot of awareness for our cause.

At the end of the last day of the trade-show, Hans drew the winning ticket out of the box and gave away a bunch of sweet Fox swag to the crowd.

Friedrichshafen, Sept. 6, 2006

At this year’s Eurobike show a total of 1000 CamelBak bottles were sold, generating proceeds of 10.000 Euro in total. The amount was handed over to Hans Rey, mountain bike legend and founder of ‘Wheels 4 Life’.

“This was the biggest promotion for our charity so far. It was a great way to raise awareness and funds. With this donation we can buy at least 150 bicycles. I hope we can do similar promotions in the future. It was nice to see how much dedication and heart the Camelbak crew put into this promotion during Eurobike”, said Hans Rey. Crankbrothers teams with Rey, donates profits to charity. LAGUNA BEACH, California

Crankbrothers announces the production of a special edition 5050 XX pedal designed by extreme biking legend and former Mountain Bike World Champion Hans Rey. Crankbrothers will donate all profits of the sale of the pedals to Wheels4Life.

Wheels4Life is a non-profit organization founded by Hans Rey, which provides bikes for people in Third-World countries in need of transportation to get to work or to school; including health care workers. Often these people live in very primitive and remote areas with no access or means to public transportation. In these cases, the gift of a bicycle can change a life.

Wheels4Life is staffed entirely by volunteers, including Rey himself. “This project has enormous potential,” says Rey. “There are endless people who could greatly benefit from owning a bicycle or from having access to one…where having a bike can make all the difference in the world. For us, bikes are usually luxury ...

On Friday, December 9th their 11:00 a.m. bicycle field trip will take on a whole new spin. The children will help former trials riding champion and world renowned extreme mountain biker Hans Rey, launch his new charity, Wheels 4 Life. The goal of this charity is to provide bicycles to people in third world countries so that they can elevate their standard of living. In this case, these Orange County children will hold an on-campus bake sale to raise enough money to send bikes to children in Mexico.
